Lithology and Thickness
It has a two-membered structure. The lower part (55-90 m) is composed of alternating marly limestones, carbonaceous clayey and siliceous slates, limestone breccias. The upper part (130-240 m) is composed of claystones, siliceous slates and limestones.
Relationships and Distribution
Lower contact
Conformably overlays the upper sub-suite of the Upper Arg Fm
Upper contact
Conformably underlies the Magian Fm in Turkparadinsky type section
Regional extent
Deposits corresponding to the entire Lower Devonian are widespread in the Zarafshan-Gissar region.

In the lower part, with remnants of tabulates Pachyfavosites kozlowskii Sok., Favosites clarus Yanet; pyros Holmophyllum ex gr. taltiense Nikol., Neomphyma originata Soshk.; brachiopods Lissatrypa nasa Nikif.
In the upper part, with remnants of tabulates Favosites goldfussi d'Orb.; rugose corals Farabophyllum intermedium Lavrus.; tentaculites Turkestanella acuaria (Richt.); graptolites Monograptus turkparidaensis Obut, M. aivili Obut, M. yukorensis J. et L.
